Bio

Md. Mehedi Hasan is a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur. He joined BAUST in December 2022, bringing both academic and professional experience to his role. Before this, he worked as a Junior Electrical Engineer at Design Alliance Limited, Dhaka, where he was responsible for the design verification of various solar projects following NEC (National Electrical Code) rules.

Md. Mehedi Hasan holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh, completed in 2021. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in EEE at RUET, focusing on advanced solar cell technologies. His undergraduate thesis explored the design of a “Highly Sensitive Hollow Core Photonic Crystal Fiber-Based Chemical Sensor.”

His research interests include advanced solar cells, photonic crystal fiber sensors, and renewable energy systems. He has co-authored several publications in reputed journals and conferences, such as his works on hollow-core fibers for spectroscopy and fiber-optic code division systems.

Throughout his teaching career, he has supervised undergraduate projects on innovative IoT-based systems, including smart irrigation and sustainable aquarium management. At BAUST, he teaches core theoretical and sessional courses such as Power Systems, Communication Systems, and Electrical Circuits.

Md. Mehedi Hasan actively engages in professional development through workshops and training on photovoltaic systems, power electronics, and electrical standards like BNBC 2020. His dedication to both teaching and research exemplifies his passion for fostering innovation and empowering the next generation of engineers.
