Shuvro Mondal is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur. He joined the department in October 2022. Mr. Mondal completed his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2022, specializing in Electrical Energy and Power Systems. His thesis explored the aggregation of distributed energy resources to form a virtual power plant, contributing to advanced research on smart grids and renewable energy integration.
Mr. Mondal’s research interests include Power Electronics, Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Grids, Electric Vehicles, and Power Systems Stability. His ongoing projects focus on robust control strategies for arc suppression devices and developing energy-efficient solutions for emerging power challenges. He has published his research findings at IEEE international conferences, contributing to the academic and technical community with impactful solutions.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Mondal is committed to improving the academic experience for students. He supervises undergraduate research projects and theses, emphasizing hands-on learning and critical problem-solving skills. He regularly engages in professional development, including workshops and training on renewable energy, smart grids, and advanced technologies in electrical engineering.
Mr. Mondal actively participates in professional societies and academic initiatives. During his university years, he served in leadership roles, including as an executive member of the BUET Robotics Society and IEEE BUET Student Branch. His dedication to academia and research reflects his passion for mentoring future engineers and addressing global challenges in energy and technology.
