Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST) successfully organized a symposium titled “Technological Approaches to Power and Energy Challenges in Bangladesh” at the university’s conference hall today. The event was arranged by the Research and Publication Cell (RPC), BAUST, with the full support of the Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (BEPRC).

The event began with a welcome address delivered by Dr. Kazi Mohammad Enamul Haque, Director, Research and Publication Cell (RPC).
The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Mst. Rubina Aktar, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), BAUST. In her insightful presentation, Dr. Rubina highlighted innovative technological approaches and sustainable solutions to address Bangladesh’s growing power and energy challenges. Her talk inspired students, researchers, and professionals to think critically about energy efficiency and renewable innovations for a sustainable future.
Faculty members, students, and engineers from different universities and industries/companies attended the symposium. Participants came from universities like HSTU, Begum Rokeya University, and Teesta University, and companies including NESCO, Barapukuria Coal Mining, and various PDB power plants. BAUST faculty and students also actively contributed their perspectives on research and sustainable development.
