Welcome Message from the Director IQAC, BAUST

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to IQAC-BAUST. The development of Quality Assurance (QA) systems in higher education is currently a major concern on global challenges. To enhance the challenging Institutional Quality Assurance (IQA) in higher education is currently common practice in Bangladesh for globalization; the IQAC is being implemented by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the help of World Bank project “Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP)”. The QA mechanism is one of the major components of HEQEP. Due to the expansion of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and the diversity of newly emerging study programs in higher education, there is a growing demand for QA mechanisms in the national, regional, and international levels. By continuously improving every aspect of the institution’s operations and guaranteeing that all graduates are involved in higher education including students, parents, teachers, staff, funding organizations, society, and so on.

IQAC-BAUST ensures the required quality of graduates. To ensure the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and outcome-based curriculum as a foundation of the university’s operations, IQAC-BAUST was established in November 2017; it has been working to inform stakeholders and different organizations including industry with educational co-operations. IQAC-BAUST desires to cultivate an equal philosophy for all demands. IQAC-BAUST is monitoring the qualities of the education and making a bridge to reduce the gaps among the inter-departments with other departments including different organizations as well as for the requirements of the accreditation.

IQAC-BAUST is supposed to focus on implementation of the organized strategic improvement plans such as seminars, workshop, curriculum development, faculty development, teaching system and method quality development, self-assessment, evaluations, motivations, team building and leading, report and documentations, ethics and morality, office and financial management, meetings, alumni, journals, researches, collaboration, etc. As a director, I would like to request your valuable assistance and cooperation in the road map of IQAC-BAUST. With your kind concerns, I am confident that IQAC-BAUST will set the required standard for higher education in Bangladesh.
