Seminar on “Building Innovation Ecosystem for Smart Bangladesh”
The seminar titled “Building Innovation Ecosystem for Smart Bangladesh” organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur, was held on March 14, 2024. Dr. Wazed Mia. The university’s Chancellor, presided over the seminar. Dr. Khandakar Abdullah Al Mamun, Professor of the CSE Department, United International University was present as the keynote speaker. The esteemed Vice-Chancellor (Acting), Lt. Colonel (Retired) Mr. Farid Alam, was also present as the chief guest. Dr. S.M. Jahangir Alam, Head of the CSE Department of the university, chaired the event, with deans, department heads, faculty members, and students from various departments of the university, as well as from the CSE and ICT departments, attending.
The keynote speaker discussed the responsibilities of current students in building a smart and digital Bangladesh, emphasizing the revitalization of the country through modern technology. The chief guest emphasized the importance of preparing students to contribute to building a smarter Bangladesh, emphasizing the need to make them more competent and enthusiastic. The Head of the CSE Department emphasized the importance of making students more capable and eager to contribute. The students of the CSE and ICT departments expressed great joy and satisfaction at the organization of such seminars. The event concluded with a formal photography session.
