Welcome Message from the Department Head

Welcome to the Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), one of the leading, prestigious, and dynamic departments at Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur Cantonment. I invite you to look around and learn more about our department, undergraduate programs, faculty members, Modern Laboratories, and the numerous activities that take place in the ICT Department.
The ICT Department is dedicated to providing an outstanding educational experience for our students while also preparing them for the highest personal and professional growth in a friendly green environment. We believe in student-centered and practice-oriented education to prepare the future workforce and meet the challenges of existing and emerging 4th industrial revolution technologies. As a result, we prioritize hiring outstanding faculty members from both domestic and international sources, as well as incorporating an outcome-based education (OBE) system. The cutting-edge teaching and research laboratories are intended to prepare the future workforce for the challenges of existing and emerging 21st-century technologies. The department is also working to meet the vision of Digital Bangladesh of the Government.
Another of our goals is to assist our graduates in developing leadership qualities. We want our graduates to be entrepreneurs who contribute to our community and the economy. As a result, courses such as ‘IT Project Management,’ ‘Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management,’ and ‘Industrial Attachment’ have been included in our Syllabus. We look forward to offering this course as a platform for our students to interact with successful tech entrepreneurs and business leadership through in-class workshops, discussions, and technology-based business model generation with real-time feedback. At the same time, students will be equipped with necessary project management techniques and tools because of the importance of this ability in managing technology endeavors.
The students of ICT Department have opportunities to engage in Co-curricular Activities, Programming Contest, Software and Hardware Project, Workshop, Training, Industrial Attachment, and Research Works as well.
