Vision

The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) aspires to produce highly competent and skilled students to excel in research and innovation for sustainable development.

 

The ICT department of BAUST seeks to become national leader at the undergraduate levels among all universities in the fields of Communication and Information Engineering. Establishment of quality academic culture in the department for the attainment of intended skills, knowledge and attitude in the field of Information Technology (IT) as well as information processing, information systems, robotics and the diverse technologies upon which our IT society is based on. So that ICT Engineering graduates can accommodate to the current and future needs of ICT oriented industry.

 

Mission

The mission of the ICT Department:

  1. To provide high quality state of the art education and knowledge in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to produce competent engineers, capable of solving real-world problems to meet the needs of industry and society.
  2. To contribute towards the creation of new knowledge through eminence research and innovation in ICT and allied fields to address emerging national and global issues for well-being of the society.
  3. To enable students in attaining required ethics with an attitude of entrepreneurial skills, ethical values and social consciences.
  4. To embed leadership qualities amongst the students to follow successful professional career paths and to pursue advanced studies in computer engineering and a life-long learner in cutting edge developments in the field of Computer, Communication and IT.
