Successful Commissioning of SEMINAR
Department of Civil Engineering of BAUST has successfully arranged a seminar today on 31 August 2023 in the Dr. Wazed Miah seminar room.
The seminar was entitled as “Sustainability of Construction Materials: Bangladesh Perspective” which is one of the most significant topics of modern civil engineering field.The key discussion was conducted by one of the eminent professors of Civil Engineering; Dr. Md. Tarek Uddin Sir from the CEE department of IUT, Gazipur. He has discussed the impact of concrete industry in the development of modern civilization and very efficiently highlighted the importance of the durability study of construction materials and the structure itself.
Our department expresses a heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Tarek Sir for enlightening our students with his knowledge and experiences.
Honourable Vice-Chancellor of BAUST Brig Gen Md. Sanuwar Uddin Sir ornamented the seat of chief guest in today’s seminar. He also appreciated the contribution of the keynote speaker and the efforts of our department for organising such an effective academic program.
The chairperson of today’s seminar Head of our department Associate Professor Dr. Engr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan Sir delivered the concluding remarks by thanking the students and all guests.
The whole program was presented by Nusrat Jahan Ria, one of our students from level-2 term-II. An official photoshoot was also done with all our students and distinguished guests in front of the academic building.
Hope this trend of interaction of our students with intellectuals and personnel will continue through such seminars and workshops in future.
