Tree Plantation Event Organised by the Environment and Sustainability Club of the Department of Civil Engineering at BAUST Saidpur
18 September 2024, the Environment and Sustainability Club proudly organized a vibrant tree plantation program that brought together our community in a shared commitment to a greener future! đ
Our day began with an inspiring introduction highlighting the critical role trees play in our ecosystemâfrom improving air quality to providing habitats for wildlife. Volunteers of all ages joined us, equipped with shovels and a passion for the planet. Together, we planted a variety of native trees, ensuring our efforts support local biodiversity and resilience against climate change. đą
In addition to the planting, we hosted workshops that educated participants on the importance of trees, proper planting techniques, and how to care for our new leafy friends đâ¨
To sustain our efforts, we also shared tips on ongoing maintenance and the vital role everyone can play in nurturing these young trees. By the end of the day, we had not only added numerous trees to our local landscape but also fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility for our environment.
